Blessings….Snowy Donegal

The View from my window …The snowy Sperrin Mountains

We have had the more snowfall over the last day than we have had since we moved to Ireland five years ago. Yes we arrived in Ireland on the 31st of December 2020!

Now I snow is inconvenient, RD hasn’t been able to go work, it’s an hour and a half journey and as I write this (it’s still snowing, so it would have been madness to try) but it’s beautiful, it can make anything look beautiful, even our bins!

I see snow as a way of Nature showing just how easy it is for her to cover, and beautify any monstrosity created by man.

I am counting my blessings, not moaning about it. I am so lucky to look out across the beautiful island of Ireland, covered in winter’s blanket. To see the Sperrins in all their winter glory.

To look at the beauty of the land we are currently caretaking, and realise how lucky I am.

Elfie absolutely loves it, and it’s a joy to see her lolloping through the snow in the paddock with her ears flapping.

The Lakies not so much…..

I have decided that this world can be so negative about everything. I have decided to buck the trend. How can you not just appreciate the beauty of this….
