The Ninja Cat

Daisy

I had to share this short with you , it epitomises our life. It made me giggle. It’s about Daisy the Ninja Cat.

We now have all the puppies sleeping with us. Elfie gets too hot, so she climbs down onto her pillow on the floor more often than not, and then promptly snores. Luna sleeps between us and Pixie lays in the crook of my knees. Just like Harley used to do, I am sure that he has told her to. I am so used to a dog lying in that place.

We also have our bedroom window open every night.

Two nights ago at 3:15 am Daisy decided to come in through the window. Luna was immediately on high alert, and Pixie, also known as the singing Lakie, because she makes such a noise, started to yowl at the top of her voice. So I got up and carried Daisy out to her food dishes in the our back room. All the time I was trying to quietly tell two naughty Lakies to get down. Having a dog jump up you with a cat in your arms is not the best situation to be in!

Now remember in this scenario that our bedroom now leads directly into the backroom, and we have no door, as we are in mid-renovation.

But taking Daisy out of the bedroom was not enough. She decided, after crunching loudly on her biscuits, that she was going to gave some fun. So she jumped down from the windowsill as loudly as she could. Up the Lakies jumped, off the bed, and out to Daisy, then ran around trying to catch her. Pitter patter, pitter patter. Eventually they came back to bed, jumping on RD as they got back on the bed, and settled down. All was well, with Daisy ensconced in the back room.

But oh no! Daisy had other ideas, in she came again. By now I was wide awake. Up they got again, whilst Elfie and RD snored. Pitter patter, pitter patter, out to the kitchen, looking for Daisy. Back to bed they came again, and eventually fell back to sleep.

As i lay there I giggled. I could here Daisy, ever the ninja cat, who was happily purring on the pillow above RD’s head, the Lakies completely oblivious.

Yeah, I was knackered the next morning. But it still makes me smile.
