Our garden is finally taking shape. I have always found the bigger the garden the harder it is to pull it together.
I have mentioned before how we had a small seaside garden in our old Edwardian house by the sea. But it came together beautifully with it’s abundance of pots, and small trees.
Now this garden is rapidly becoming my favourite garden. As well as working with nature we have created lovely little spots to just ‘be’.
This is one of those spots, with a lovely little water feature babbling away. I have found myself sitting here mist evenings. Weather permitting. With one of the Lakies sitting on the bench beside me, and the other two at my feet. Whilst I look across our garden and smile at how lucky I am.

It’s just small things. That’s all we need.

Small things… and a heart open to the joy that they bring!
