Messages – ‘Heartlight’

Wiglet and Dylan – Reunited Now

Turn on your heartlight
Let it shine wherever you go
Let it make a happy glow
For all the world to see

Heartlight By Neil Diamond Written by Neil Diamond, Carol Bayer-Sager, Burt Bacharach

The ‘Tao Te Ching’ teaches how we are all connected by the heart. Every living thing on this Earth is connected by the heart. As the years have passed since I started to follow it’s teachings, I have come to understand this more and more. It was no coincidence that I was led to read about energy, from Deepak Chopra’s ‘Synchrodestiny’ to Pam Grout’s ‘God Doesn’t Have Bad Hair Days.’ I understand now that we are all connected through energy. Good old Deepak puts it in context when he likens it to a sea, where individual waves come up (living things) and they grow and then eventually diminish and go back to the sea, that massive source of energy. I understand that.

Many cultures believe that the heart holds ‘the soul’, the spirit if you like. I think that too, it makes sense; the heart can beat on it’s own without the brain, if you want to consider it from a scientific point of view. It also ties in with what the ‘Tao’ teaches, even though it was written all those years ago.

For me ‘Heartlight’ represents how we should all allow ourselves to love, to not be afraid of it. We should put our love out there and give it freely. God knows this last year has taught me again that none of us know when things will change or when our time will come, and there is nothing that compares to a dog to teach you to give love freely and unconditionally.

Over the past week I have been drawn to the beautiful song ‘Heartlight’, I was being sent a message. Our home has always been a happy home, even when we have had nothing we have been happy, we have laughed, and we have love in our home. Rich (RD) and I are the energy, we create it, and our sadness has permeated everything; Wiglet would not want that. The thing she loved most of all was the happiness that she was surrounded by.

I found myself looking at puppies.

The hole in our house was cavernous, the sound of silence drowned us. All that could be heard were tears. Something (or someone) made me look at puppies. There were some that appealed to me, but something stopped me, we could not even consider a Welshie, Wiglet was and is at this time irreplaceable.

We considered all of our situation, 2 elderly cats who could not cope with a rescue of two or three years old, which would come with it’s issues as Wiglet did. Harley who is eleven years old, and could not have a male come into the house and then dominate him as he grows older. We were not in the same position as we were seven years ago when we found Wiglet, or should I say Wiglet found us. We asked ourselves if it was too soon, but a voice in my head was telling me it was not, it whispered that Harley was not getting any younger and soon he would be too old to introduce any dog into his home, something (or someone) was urging us on.

And then I saw this…

There was something about her face, it looked naughty.

I spoke to Rich who was also worried about Harley, as I was worried about Rich. We decided to go and see her, but by Friday night I had started to have doubts, asking myself were we not honouring Wiglet enough. A little voice in my head reminded me that in the spirit world all is free, in the world of energy all that is wanted is happiness, and love, we needed to turn our heartlight back on.

I asked life to show me the way and in the morning when I woke, the first thing I did was cry. I did not hear Wiglet, who slept in our room, wake up with her particular little yawn that she always did. And a voice in my head whispered to me ‘call the puppy Elfie’. I had never heard of that name before and when I looked it up and found that it meant ‘good elf’ or ‘magical counsel’ I knew that was a sign. The puppy would bring magic into our house, and Wiglet would smile, because she had sent her to us. The ad for the puppy had been placed on 10th June, when our beautiful little girl left this world. It was meant to be.

The puppy would by no means replace Wiglet, she is so irreplaceable, but she would make us smile as only puppies, in all their innocence, can.

  1. She is adorable and I think you are so right. Sometimes I think animals leave us when the time is right. They know there is someone waiting out there that needs your love. Welcome to that home Elfie ❤️❤️❤️
